Environment

The average lifespan of an average stairlift installation is only 4 years, we feel it is our responsibility to take back these lifts that are no longer needed and wherever possible refurbish and re-install them to maximise there usability and thereby reduce waste. Supplying a good quality product in the first place makes this much easier. It also provides those with a tight budget a chance at having stairlift without the cost of new.

Message from our Company Director

Welcome to Only Lifts website, I am Gary Tidman, managing director of Only Lifts. Thank you for taking the time to look around. Whilst we are here to generate some business, I also hope we can offer some help and insight with broader information that will help you make an informed decision. I have always followed the big thinkers of future technologies, especially in the lift industry. Searching out the the most innovative products for the home lift and accessibility market, we can bring you the most practical and reliable products available.

With over 30 years experience of the industry, working in manufacturing, sales, and installations, I have an intimate knowledge from component level through to bespoke design for discerning clients, often collaborating with designers and artisans to find the perfect solution.

Unlike many lift suppliers, we balance the need of the client against the available technologies, offering multiple solutions from several sources, often from across the world, using the latest technologies, influenced by previous experience.

I have provided my services not just in the UK but also in France, Lithuania, Slovakia, Croatia and Qatar. I have also advised the Cyprus government and UK Embassies on disabled access. 

In 2014 I was awarded “Individual of the Year” by the British Healthcare Trades Association, following glowing feedback from clients.

Although rare, we can sometimes get things wrong. If you are not satisfied with our service or products you are encouraged to make a complaint. Complaints are a valuable source of information where we may be going wrong, so we can improve our services. Warranty (Guarantees)


Every lift we install is supported by a 12-month parts and labour warranty (the option of an extended warranty is also available on most products). In addition to our own factory trained Engineers, we are proud to work in partnership with a number of local independent lift engineers to provide the best cover for your product. We endeavour, wherever possible, to attend within twenty-four hours of the fault being reported.

Service & Maintenance


To ensure that the lift is fully functional when you need it most and to ensure many years of trouble-free operation, we are able to offer a host of service agreements to suit your needs at the end of the warranty period.
