The difference between indoor and outdoor
The basic look is the same for indoor and outdoor stairlifts, it's the vulnerable components where you'll find the differences. In all cases the fitting of a cover is essential not only to protect the lift from wind and rain but also sunlight which can deteriorate the materials of the lift and generally make the lift look untidy.
Each lift has slightly different approaches to protecting against the elements. However such things as vulnerable switches have been replaced with IP rated water resistant ones, electronics coated in a special lacquer and redesigned covers to prevent water ingress during operation and storage.
Only Lifts review:
We have a number of outdoor lifts to offer, our starting proposition is the Brooks 130 for straight stairs and the Bruno Elite for curved stairs.
