1. Assessing Your Home and Needs

Before we start any lift installation journey, we need to establish why you want a Home Lift. During your initial contact, we will ask you a few questions about yourself and the people in your home, as well as your expectations. We’ll ask about your home, and its layout. 

An assessor will want to visit your home and talk to you about your individual needs. We’ll then take some measurements and guide you as to which of our lifts will fit in your home.

Asking questions and assessing your home allows us to better understand your needs and determine whether a personal (1/2 person) or a larger lift that can take a wheelchair is the best solution for your household.

2. Answering Your Questions

At the same time, an assessment allows you to ask us any questions about Home Lifts and the benefits they offer or what is involved during the installation process.

For example, we often get questions about whether the walls and decor are disturbed  — we’ll walk you through each step of the installation process to ease your concerns.

3. Providing You With a No-Obligation Quote

Once we have jointly confirmed the right Home Lift for you and your situation, we will then provide you with a quotation for your Home Lift (not an estimate). The quoted price includes the entire Home Lift system and installation costs.

We’ll give you all the time you need to decide whether you’d like to go ahead and order a Home Lift from us. You can rest assured that the price we quote will be the price you pay, with no hidden fees or extras. We pride ourselves on being open and transparent.

Should you decide to order one of our Home Lifts, we’ll ask for a deposit and provide a date for your Home Lift installation. Lead in times will depend on the Home Lift you choose, typically between 4 – 12 weeks.

4. Installation Day

On the day of your installation, our team will visit your home to set up and start the process of creating an aperture.

This usually takes 1-2 days for the building work followed by 1-7 days for the lift installation (based lift types and number of floors) There may also be an additional day after installation to make good and make final adjustments.

As there is structural work involved we will liaise with your local building control to ensure compliance with Building Regulations. It’s all part of and included in the service.

Before we leave, we’ll clean up after ourselves and we’ll make sure to show you how your new Home Lift works, how to troubleshoot and how to operate it safely.
